So about to do a Custom PC Build, i was thinking of getting the GTX 660 right here: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-SUPERCLOCKED-Graphics-02G-P4-2662-KR/dp/B00966IREK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1367280500&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+660

Not because thats what i'm willing to spend on a GPU, i was originally going to get two GTX 680 FTW 4GB VRAM but i was told that the new 700 series should be coming out in Q3. and thats pretty damn soon. First off can anyone confirm thats true? If so my plan was to just buy a GTX 660 to get me by for the couple months then sell it and get say the GTX 780 when it comes out! Will the GTX 660 be able to easily support 3 monitors? These: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AVYNS7M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER One monitor for gaming, one monitor for Social Media, and One for Editing and Streaming Software. Will it be able to hold that load? I only plan on Playing DayZ, World of Warcraft, and Battlefield 3. Please let me know guys! Is my plan of attack good or should i just get the two GTX 680's

Solution
Take a look at EVGA's Step-Up program.

http://www.evga.com/support/stepup/

As long as you follow the requirements, you can buy any EVGA card 680 or lower and if the 780 is released within 90 days of your purchase, you send in your card, pay the difference in cost, and EVGA ships you a brand new 780.

So...if you're going EVGA, there's no reason not to buy those 680's you wanted - you won't be wasting the money since you'll be able to trade them for EVGA 780's once they're released!

Just be sure to follow every instruction on that FAQ.

EDIT: EVGA uses the price of your card *on the date it was purchased* to calculate the amount you pay to upgrade, not on the date you request a step-up. So you don't have to worry about paying more...

Now the only issue is finding out when the 700 Series comes out... like you said has to be in a 90 day period 😛

I've read on TechPowerUp that the 700 Series is launching late-May/early-June. But that says nothing about when the 770 itself is being released. Although I'm sure that it wouldn't be put off for more than 60 days after the first cards are launched.
