[SOLVED] What GPU Should i Upgrade To?

If i want to play 1080p on Ultra settings, what GPU should i get? I have a Ryzen 5 2600X and my motherboard is a Gigabyte A320M-S2H V2-CF (AM4).

What is your PSU? You shooting for 1080 @60Hz or 120/144?

For 1080 I generally suggest the 1060 or 580/590. That should let you max any important slider and get close to 60FPS. There are some games where it fails but the 1060/580 should get you where you want to be. If you want more you'll need to step up to the 1070 or 5700XT. But those can cost a lot and might need a bigger PSU than what you have.

As always it depends on the price. Pure performance wise the 2060 behaves more like a 1070TI. There is some question as to how well it will handle Ray Tracing. With the 2060 I wouldn't count on being able to use/max out RT, but it might be an option in some games. If you can get the 1070TI for much less however I'd lean towards that. Performance is similar, cost you less, and uses less power.

When I had my 1st gen R5 1600X, it could easily max out settings with my GTX 1070 at 1080p/60Hz. That should give you an idea of what to look at.
