What GPU temp on a 1070 should have me worried?

Just built my first desktop. Everything seems to be running great, except that my 1070 seems to be running a bit hot compared to some results I've seen (namely PCGamer saying they overclocked at 67 deg). Witcher 3 on 1440p Ultra is topping off at 77 degrees. Should I try to get more out of my cooling, or is that a reasonable number?

77c is fine, if you start going above 85c, then you may have an issue with airflow, or you may just need to turn up the GPU fans a bit. You could always make a custom fan curve in something like MSI Afterburner if you would like to knock a few degrees off of the temperature but it's not a necessity until 85c+.
