Hello so I was about to buy an RTX 2060 AS an upgrade from my current 1060 6GB(btw cpu is i5 8400), but i've heard about the new RTX Super series. Do I wait? They said the RTX Super 2060 will have 8gigs instead of 6 which is a major improvement.

They said the RTX Super 2060 will have 8gigs instead of 6 which is a major improvement.

But it's also going to sell expensive, as compered to previous RTX lineup. You need to decide whether it's worth paying some extra cash, for a performance jump we aren't sure about, since there are no benchmarks yet.

BTW, the RTX 2060 SUPER is also having more CUDA CORES, 2176, vs 1920 on the previous SKU variant.

RTX 2060 will work great for 1080P 60Hz on TV. Using one myself in my Ryzen build. Yes, it is indeed overkill at this resolution even most AAA, except when ray-tracing is enabled, though DLSS helps when available. I bought for the reason of future games to still get to 60 and have no upgrade currently for TV. Regarding Super version, even more overkill with roughly 15% improvement, though higher price. Got an EVGA XC Gaming version myself for $350.

I have a gtx 1060 6gb and play Battlefield 1 religiously on ultra settings on a 1080p 60hz monitor. I can attest that it gets constant 60 fps.

I seriously doubt BF5 is any more demanding. No way I'd upgrade my gtx 1060 until I get a more demanding monitor.
