what GPU to get

Basically i have 7970 Xfire and to be honest i'm fed up with the hassle it gives me so i plan to go back to 1 card. what would be the best option to go with? I only plan to spend £300/£350 at a push.

I recommend a gtx 970 or an r9 290x If you have the budget then a 980 I guess

by the looks of it people say 970 is better than the r9290x. May jump to nvidia then lol.

The 970 and 290x trade blows. @1080p the 970 is bit better, @1440p it's usually about equal maybe a slight edge to the 290x, anything higher the 290x is usually better. For heat and power the 970 is much better.

right i've ordered Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 gaming edition. Looks good and i'm sure ill be happy with it ^^
