I am having a heck of a time finding recommendations for a simple card that will give me room to grow into 4K in the future should I want to.
I do not game, and it is extremely hard to look for a graphics card, because all GPU discussions revolve around gaming.
I was looking at a used GTX 670, thinking it had a max resolution of 4096 X 2160. I thought that because of the info from GeForce here:
https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-670/specifications
But lucky for me, I started looking up specific part numbers for 2GB cards, and they all list 2560 X 1600 as max for the GTX 670. Here are two examples:

https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=f613beb8-86f8-49d7-beef-accedf3675e3
The new GTX 1050 is recommended, but I have to believe it is far more than I need. I'll be using PC for newsletters, power-point, browsing (of course), nothing at all graphics intensive.
A $16 Radeon HD 7570 will give me 2056 X 1600.
I am only running with a Phenom II, and 16 GB RAM, but figured it would be best to get something that would "future proof" me at least a little (the Radeon will obviously not do that).
I do want something with displayport.
So where do I look for recommendations for non-gaming? I understand I could build a new system around one of the Intel processors with built-in graphics, but the hardware I have is still functioning well enough - with the exception of graphics. MoBo does not even support 1920 X 1080!
Thanks!
