What GPU will I need with this spec to run Rome Total war 2?

I'm running:
Windows 64bit
Power- 750 watt box (can't remember the make or name sorry!)
CPU- i5 2500k @ 3.3ghz
RAM- 8GB Ram DDR3
MB - ASUSTeK Computer INC. P8Z68-V LX (LGA1155)
GPU - Intel HD Graphics 3000

I've managed to get it to run currently but I almost blow the CPU... Hence the need for a GPU. Can anybody recommend a GPU for this machine? I don't want to blow the bank only really have about £250 for this.

Even though you have a high wattage PSU, I'm hesitant to recommend a high end card without knowing the make/model. Lucky enough, the game doesn't require a high end card to max it out. Look into purchasing a 660 GTX, 760 GTX, R9 270 or a R9 270x. All of those should be in your price range.
