Hello, quick question, im going to buy a 32 inch 165hz 1080p monitor, but there is a problem, i have a gtx 1060 3gb, it canot run above 60hz. So i was wondering, what would be a good/perfect if possible budget gpu to buy that could run 1080p 165hz?

I was thinking either the 1070 Ti or the 1080 Ti, but i'm not sure, i need professional opinion.

Also forgot to mention, please do not recommend me amd gpu's.

Solution
3060 Ti - 3070.
A 3070 can run many games at 1440P 144FPS+ but newer games are much more demanding.

My RTX 3070 can hit my 1440P monitors refresh rate (170hz) fine maxed out in Resident Evil 2 / 3 .
Village would likely hit 144FPS or close to it at 1080P.

A 1080 (what I own) would not be good for that high a frame rate in many newer AAA games at high+ settings. Mine is typically 85-90+ at 1080 high settings for things like Division 2, Sniper 3, and so on. A 1080ti is certainly the way you want to go here, if not better. Might even be worthwhile to consider something like a 3060 or RX 68/6900 for that high a rate. Costs are steadily dropping and availability is getting better.

As a side note, the sweet spot for 1080P is ~27" on the outside. If you are going with a 32" screen you would be better served with eye candy bumping to 1440p. Obviously, according to how close you will sit to your monitor, but within a couple of feet you will see pixel at 1080 that large.

So what u say it would be better to get a gtx 1080ti or the 3060 bcuz prices are dropping, and if im getting 32" 1080p that i would see pixels? So better go with a 1440p? But can a 1080 ti support 1440p 144hz?

My GTX1080 runs ~75+ frames at 1440 high settings on similar to the above titles. The ti variant is quite a bit more powerful, but don't think it would hold that high a frame rate on many newer more demanding games. Obviously, if we are talking about Fortnite that all goes out the window, lol.
