I am on a budget.. but don’t mind spending extra £££ on a GPU as I want to upgrade my CPU in the future... I am currently running with a Ryzen 5 1600x, I hope to upgrade to the Ryzen 7 2700x in the future. For some reason this is the only thing I have budgeted on. Silly mistake!

I will be gaming at 1080p on a 60Hz monitor as I can’t afford a 144hz yet, that’s a future upgrade as well. I am stuck between the Evga 1070 Sc and the MSI 1660Ti Gaming X, if anyone could help me that would be great.

If you don't mind getting a used card...you can grab a gtx 1070 off ebay used but in great condition for as low as $200! I got my 1070 ti for $300 like a month ago and it still runs great!
I would personally rather buy new as everything I have brought so far has been new our the packaging. I’m a little skeptical with buying certain things second hand, definitely some great deals for second hand. Definitely got my eye on the Evga 1070 Sc as it’s on sale right now

I wouldn't really recommend buying a second hand parts to be honest, you never know how well it was used and how well it was taken care off.
If that 1070 SC is on sale go for it, it is really worth it.

True, buying used electronics comes with a high risk and I guess it all comes down to whether you're willing to take the risk or not. And Like @iMatty said, the 1070 sc is a great card too!
