What Graphics card (and possibly other hardware) should i add to my pc?

I have a Dell Inspiron 546, 6gb ram, amd anthlon II x3 425 processor, with win 7 64-bit, (and currently a gt9500 pci exp. card from sparkle in it). My monitor is a Haier 24'' and i run at 1920x1080 res. I was wondering what type of vid card i should buy, if i need a better motherboard, etc. and if i should get some other hardware for an extreme, top gaming pc. anybody who can help me out i would highly appreciate it. im looking for options due pricing (would appreciate it even more if somebody posted multiple cards/hardware so i can compare/see what i want to buy) thanks to all in advance.

For an "extreme" gaming PC you'd probably want to ditch that thing altogether and build a new system to be honest. If you don't want to do that then I'd just get an HD6670 which will do quite well at low resolutions.

What is your power supply ? Do you have a budget or ballpark amount that you would be willing to spend. To be perfectly honest with you if you want an extreme , top gaming Pc , then you should expect to spend about $2000 and that would be the bottom figure. Now if you want a gaming Pc , that will play all the games at high settings and get around 6ofps then you could end up spending less. It really is what you are trying to achieve with what you want to spend. other than the OS you have there are no extreme parts in your computer.

Now , if you want to say that this could be an extreme Pc , then you have some high quality components to back it up. Maybe you could look through this setup and say you want it or you can make your own adjustments as to what you want or what you can afford. I am sure that other people who read this are going to weigh in with thier thoughts. Total as listed----$1808.92
