What graphics card and what monitor to pair with it

I am upgrading my pc and I cant decided on a $450-$500 graphics card to go with it. I want a 1070ti but all the g sync monitors are too expensive. I think I could go with a vege 56 but that is less powerful than a 1070ti but has much cheaper monitor options. What should I pick? Also could I just get a 1070ti and then get a nice 144hz monitor and use v sync?

Well no one was of use on this thread so I just decided to go with a 1070ti with a gsync monitor. The reason I say no one was of you was because they provided no insight on what monitor to choose and just told me what graphics card.
