Hi. Awhile ago I bought a upgraded Optiplex 3010 with the following specs:

Dell Optiplex 3010 MT
Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz(4 CPUs)
8GB Ram
NVidia GeForce GT 610

I'm using a BenQ GL2460 just so you know.

I want to upgrade it to a higher graphics card but am not sure what would be compatible. I have seen some videos but want an actual accurate answer unlike this video:

I want to just play games like Minecraft, Skyrim SE, Batman Arkham games, The Battlefront games and stuff like that while recording with Camtasai.

I'm sorry if I havn't supplied enough information as I am not an expert. And please don't tell me to look up what works, because I have but nothing really makes sense.

I have seen things like from that video I posted above about getting graphics cards. My big question is, what to I need to check for when getting the graphics card to be compatible?
My motherboard has a PCI-Express x16 slot

So what I need to check is the
Power Supply,
If it connects to x16
If it fits in the case?

Is that all? I'm trying to spend around $150 for my graphics card but if there is one just a bit more expensive then I'd pay the extra for the big one up.

$150? Skyrim SE wants at least a GTX 470 (Very old at this point) So you have many options open. https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/optiplex_3010_technical_guidebook.pdf
That is your desktops manual. Ive done some research and believe that a GT 1030 is your best option. Its sub $150 and will work wonders for Skyrim SE 2011. But for the 2016 Skyrim SE, You might have a problem. Unless the little 4x pci-e slot next to the 16x slot is vacant, you are stuck to single slot gpu’s. Another issue is the power supple being a low voltage, and unless you fit a 350 watt or higher in your case, your stuck with a 1030 or lesser. In most small form factor cases a GTX 1050ti from Inno 3D, a GTX 1650 from Inno 3D Or A GTX 1070 Katana from Galax. If your running the more modurn Skyrim SE then it will run on a 1030 but not at playable rates. Also, minecraft and Batman Arkham games will be taking some decent use out of a 1030 and should run okay. If you have the PCI-E 4X open next to the PCI-E 16X and you have a power supple that can supply such power, then a 3gb/6gb GTX 1060 single fan from EVGA would be perfect. Also, absolutely no hope For Star wars battlefrount 1 or 2 as it even puts my 2070 up to max usage and 60 fps. (Maybe you can run 1 and 2 on a 1060 6Gb).

Good luck and always consider motherboard support and power supply.
