what graphics card for system?

This is the system i'm building at the moment:

AMD FX 6300
ASUS M5A97 R2.0
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB)
WD Caviar Blue 1TB
Corsair Carbide 300r Windowed
Corsair CX 500W

I can't decide what graphics card I want to use in this system, I would like to get something around <£150/$250 but I would go slightly above that if needed but nothing too much.

I want a card that can run modern games at 1080p on max or close to max basically high detailed settings with a good solid frame rate. I have looked at R9 270x and GTX 760 but not sure if I need to spend that much money.

If I could get some tips that would help and also what manufacture of the card as well.

If you have any comments on my system that would really help as well!

In that price range, I'd go the 760, might look at the Asus CU model, good strong card w/ great cooling

Get a factory overclocked 760 with aftermarket cooling (EVGA, ASUS, MSI...all are great really). They provide some great bang for your buck.
