What graphics card/hardware should I upgrade to?

Last year I got an HP Desktop computer that seemed to run video games fairly well. But as times progress, so does the technology, with games not being an exception. Recently I tried playing Battlefield 4 and it looked ridiculous with huge frame rate drops on the lowest settings. Not that I want an absolute clear and crisp picture, but getting something of good quality might end up lasting me a bit longer because of the constant upgrades to video game technology. Anyways, here are the specs of my computer:

HP H8-1117C
8GB Ram
1.5 TB
64-Bit
Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 GHZ
Power Supply is 300W Internal
Graphics card is Radeon HD 6670
Motherboard is IPISB-CU (Carmel2)

What should I do to increase the quality of my gaming experience? I know that graphics cards make a huge difference so that's why I kind of aimed the question towards that; but I am fairly ignorant on the subject so any input regarding other ways to better my computer. Any additional information on this desktop can be found on: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=5146418&spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03052656-10%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

All advice will be greatly appreciated! :)

There are other factors such as motherboard, memory and processor but yours are all up to par and ready for that card.

I don't really have a budget right now because I have not the slightest clue how much this could cost me. I just want to be able to play the next-gen games on "high" settings but not necessarily "ultra."

Alright, that seems fairly reasonable. So then what specific hardware would you recommend (the power supply and graphics card)?

Thank you very much! My last question is whether or not there are other factors to consider when purchasing a video card for a computer besides the power supply?
