Hi there everyone

Happy Halloween!!!!! I'm Wondering if it's worth waiting to update my graphics card next year instead of now. I have an MSI NVIDIA GTX 970 Gaming Twin Frozr HDMI DVI-I DP Graphics Card (4GB, PCI Express, DDR5, 256 Bit) & it seems to still be one of the top ones.

The rest of your system...cpu, ram, hard drive type, power supply size all play a roll in determining if a gpu update is a good idea.

If you have a new system running something like an AMD 2700x with Win 10 then yeah you need a new gpu.

On the other hand if you're using a 6 year old intel 2500k based system with Win 7 then an upgrade wont give you as much...

Yeah I'd say upgrading from a 970 would provide some nice results...that 1800x will push pretty much any card to it's full potential.
