What graphics card is better?

I am building a gaming pc and I don't know which is better, and also i need to know if they both work with a amd based gaming rig, the mother board is Asrock Socket AM3+ 970 Extreme4 5200MT/S Motherboard.

The two graphic cards are:

Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX660 2GB DDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card and Sapphire 11200-07-20G Graphics Card (2GB, HD7850, GDDR5).

Will they both play on maxed out settings well, with good fps? If not do you suggest another graphics card for about the same price for the same mother board?

660 = 7870
so the 660 is better than the 7850
