What graphics card should I get out of these. Help!

XFX Radeon R9 280 vs MSI GeForce GTX 770 Gaming OC.

Thats really all there is to say.
So what one do I get there almost the same.

I tend to prefer the R9 to the 770, but that might be more personal preference than actual performance. It depends on what you're looking for in a card, AMD runs a bit hotter and louder but has more graphics output than NVIDIA dollar-for-dollar.

The 770 is faster.
The 280 compete with the gtx 760
The 280x have almost the same performance as the 770 and is cheaper.

as you can see gtx 770 oc wins by .4 points!if you ask me i would say that both cards perform somewhat same!if you have a good psu and good airflow inside the case go for the gtx 770 oc!you can overclock it for more performance!

Both the R9 280X and GTX 770 trade in games, depending on how well the game is optimised for each card is how well it will perform, generally i would go with the R9 280X as even if it loses overclocking will reach or even pass the GTX 770 in games and also the R9 280X can be alot cheaper, also the 3GB of VRAM will help in games like Battlefield 4, Crysis 3 and Watchdogs especially if you play at high settings and when you play Ultra with another card it wont stutter as much
