Whats the best graphics card i can get that will not be bottlenecked by an i5 6500 in any situation, i was thinking 1070 or maybe 1080?

Solution
depends what monitor youre running, what game types you mainly play, what fps youre happy with at a minimum etc.
The 1080 is overkill for most peoples situations & not great value for money.

There will always be a bottleneck in some shape or form - be it monitor ,cpu or gpu - its impossible to build a perfectly balanced system imo.

Ive seen plain & genuine reports that a 67--k paired with a 1080 offers more fps than a 6500 which plainly means that the 6500 can be a bottleneck in some scenarios.
A performance crippling or heavily noticeable bottleck ? - no ,but plainly there are points where it can hold a 1080 back.

what about situations where your CPU is the bottleneck? or will you blame that on bad coding. I'm thinking games like Total War. Also, you didn't mention your monitor, but don't worry, Maxtery will sell you the top of the line. If a 1080ti came out yesterday, that'd be his recommendation. the 'standard' 1080 is for the poor people.

He should buy a 1070 and maybe a better CPU. Is that what you are saying ? I thought this was a serious Forum not one where you get pissed on when you say something that somebody doesnt like.

1080p 144hz, most current cards dont push over 144 frames so i was thinking 1070 or 1080. I play different kind of games which i want all to run at 144hz (gta 5, csgo, payday 2, battlefield 4)
