What graphics card should I get?

I've recently been playing Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, which right now is in open Beta phase. I can get pretty much a solid 30 framerate with graphics on lowest, which isn't actually awful but not exactly the crisp gameplay I'm looking for. I assume the problem has something to do with the graphics card and not the processor.

If I were to buy a new graphics card, does anybody have any suggestions for something that provides good quality and preferably under 200 pounds?

I currently have a 2gb GTX 1050 graphics card, and an Intel i5-6500 3.2ghz processor

For about 50 quid more, a GTX 1060 6 GB would be ideal. But for your budget I would look consider no less than an AMD RX 570. This option depends strongly on your power supply manufacturer and model number. Please supply those details.

Also, what are the rest of your specs?

From what I've seen other people get, you should be getting higher framerate on that game. I'm assuming 1080p. I wouldn't buy anything until you sort this out. Can you use MSI Afterburner to show onscreen the CPU and GPU usage, and the amount of vram being used, and the clockspeeds of the CPU and GPU?

Can you test performance in something else, to rule out general performance problems. Plus, you don't have vsync or some other limiter on right?

I would advise you to not get a gtx 1060, In my experience nvidia cards age horribly. An rx 570 would be an excellent pick for you, But seeing as your current card is still a decent performer I would advise you to wait for VEGA.

Sorry, I'm pretty new to this. Is there any easy way to check the manufacturer and model number?
Also, what other specs would you like to know?

Sorry but as you can probably work out I'm quite new to the PC scene. I have Afterburner but I don't know how to find out the information you've asked for. If you could tell me what to look for I could tell you.

As for other games, my PC used to run DCS World fine (no idea exactly what the framerate was but it wasn't choppy at all), but now I can never get above 20 or so. Squad seems to run ok, generally stays from 25 to 50 online.

And no, Vsync is disabled

Just checked task manager, and I closed down some apps that were running in the background. Hasn't really increased performance a whole lot though.

In the performance tab it did say only about 60% cpu utilization. Is this normal?
