I’ve recently upgraded my motherboard and cpu but I’m now looking to upgrade my gpu and need some advice.

I’ve got a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu and 8gb gddr4 RAM
My current gpu is a 2gb gtx 1050
I get good FPS in games like gta, arma etc but sometimes in arma 3 I experience some stuttering which I can only assume is the graphics card being a bit dated?

Im looking to play games such at BF5 and possibly Red Dead 2.
The graphics card I’m looking at is an RTX 2060 but I’m not sure to go for a MSI rtx 2060 or gigabyte or another company? The prices are fairly different, I was originally going to go for the gigabyte as it’s £300 which is cheaper but after reading into it a little apparently MSI are better? Which is around £345
thanks in advance

I mined on a GTX 1080 ti for 3 months and it crapped out on me. I'd be very worried about getting a card that's been mined on. In fact.. I'd get a new card if it were me. The Radeon 5600 XT would be a great choice. Really Even the GTX 1660 Super would be great for 1080p for now. 1080p just isn't that hard to run anymore. A $200 to $300 card is golden for that resolution.

My favorite part of the whole mining crysis was I bought a rx480 new for 220$ games on it for a few months then sold it during the mining crysis for 300$ so I made money

the mobo is a B450M-K
It clearly has 2 ram slots.

Do you have the brand and exact model number? Assuming it doesn't have a very high refresh rate, then a 1080 or 2060 are likely to be overkill, and a waste of money, with performance that you'll never be able to take advantage of.
To be honest mate my monitor broke so I’m using a flat screen tv I had lying around till I get a monitor 😂

I already stated mine was mined on for a whole year with no issues it’s mainly the rx480s that have the issues after mining. Your more likely to run into a mined on card if they are selling multiple
I think I’m more than likely going to go for the rtx 2060. I have a 650 watt psu which the rtx requires a 500. Ive got 2 6+2 pin connectors and it requires a 6 pin and 8 pin so it’ll fit, I just need to check the measurements if it’ll fit into my case, but I’ve got a fair amount of rom either side so can’t see why it wouldn’t

Either side of my 1050 2gb that is

I will say that if you are on a budget, I've got a 1660 super paired with a 3600 and 16gb of ram, and it performs quite well. I run 1080p 144hz, and it can run most things between high-ultra on battlefield 5 for example. I think I set it to high just to get higher fps and it looks great and seems pretty smooth for the most part.

If you are spending more, I'd look at the 5600 xt, the 5700, or the 2060. After those, probably a 5700xt or 2060 super if not 2070. But for 1080p, any card above a 5700 or 2060 is probably massive overkill.

2060 should be good.

https://www.techspot.com/review/1991-geforce-rtx-2060-vs-radeon-5600-xt/

One thing you have going for the 2060 is that a 5600xt may need a bios flash to get all the performance. Vs 2060 should be established and have decent driver support. So that should be a good choice. Especially if you are at 1080p and 60hz it should hold a while.

True, though I think that even without the bios flash, it at least matches the 2060 or comes very close, doesn't it? The latest bios flash just pushes it above 2060 performance (was it by about 10% roughly? Can't recall)
