Hey. I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre M81 7517B2U for my computer. I am able to run a lot of different games... but, not really any of the new games like H1Z1: KotF. I am wondering what graphics card I can get that will fit and work in my computer that can run newer games like that one and stuff like Battlefield 1 with good fps.

Here are all of my PC specs:

( Some things are different as I upgraded the ram to 8GB and what not. )
Thanks for reading this and I'll be looking forward to some help. 😀

The one on the left in the picture is either a desktop...
Your bottleneck here might be that stock psu but I had a gtx 750 ti in a Dell optiplex 780 mid tower(Intel core 2 quad cpu @2.83ghz and i believe a 300w psu) which is much less advanced and less expandable than your're rig. I was actually playing Gta 5 with descent fps on that setup. It's a relatively small card but the only hiccup was the way it fit out the tabs in the back but like I said it was an optiplex(the kind of computer you find in an office) so you might have a better shot on your rig. Oh yeah and I looked it up and says you have a pci-e x16 3.0 slot so you're good.

My specs:
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
CPU: Intel core i7 4790k @4ghz up to 4.4ghz
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 FTW 8gb
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 620w
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb
COOLER: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
STORAGE: Seagate Firecuda 2Tb Solid State Hybrid

PS: The specifications of that graphics card state 400w or greater power supply but don't pay any attention to that. It doesn't draw nearly that much power.

The mini tower is on the left? I have the large one on the right with the little incline on top. I believe mine is the 280W. Also where can I find one without 6-pin connector? I don't know all that much about this stuff haha.

The fastest new card that comes in a form that does not require a 6 pin connector is the 1050 Ti. Some companies do sell versions that require a 6 pin connector though, so be sure to check. Where to find one? Where do you shop? It should be listed in the specs page for the item. Those cards are rated for 300W power supplies so you should be okay with one. Because you have a fairly decent CPU and limited power supply output, I think the 1050 Ti would be your best choice.

The one on the left in the picture is either a desktop or slimline, depending on how Lenovo names their PCs. The one on the right is the classic mini tower or tower. If that is the one you have (and apparently you do), the 280W PSU is technically too small to safely run the GTX 1050 Ti or 750 Ti. But, either card will work on that PSU. You will just be taking the PSU to its max capacity at times. And you would have to do so at your own risk.

I'd suggest upgrading the PSU or staying with something less demanding. If you choose the latter approach, the GT 730 DDR5 64 bit is max car that runs on your PSU..

Okay well I think I'm going to go with the GTX 1050 Ti card that doesn't have a 6-pin connector. The reason being is because I want to play top notch games like Battlefield 1 and H1Z1. I will most likely put it at medium settings anyhow to make sure I get 60fps no matter what... which shouldn't use all the PSU anyhow right? :s

Alright I think I can scrounge up between another $10-$30... which will all together be like $230 which can get me the GTX 1050 Ti and a new PSU.

And with those PSU's... does it matter if it is 6 pin or no pin GTX 1050 Ti? Or it don't matter? And this will all fit in my case right? :s

It doesn't matter. The PSU's 6-pin connector just gives you the option of using a gfx card that requires one. Pick any GTX 1050 Ti you want.

Then give DOOM 2016 a run. if you don't already have it.

Ok so I'll get one of those GTX 1050 Ti's and one of the PSU's you linked and I should be good to go right? Everything will fit?

Yes, buy those two things and you'll be good to go. The GTX 1050 TI is a monster upgrade from your current graphics card. As far as fit, All ATX power supplies have the same height and width; only the depth differs. As far as the graphics card, I'm assuming that your computer will hold a double slot graphics card. You would be able to tell that buy looking at the available slot space inside the computer.

Yes. But check back when you've made up your mind if you want a final yes/no.

For the GTX 1050 Ti... I'm getting this: https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=pd_lpo_147_tr_t_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4KASEBWE670FQAYPGM9H

Is it fine to get the mini or should I get just the normal GTX 1050 Ti?

For the PSU... I'm getting this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1UH4RE3051

Now will these work perfectly fine with what I have/am replacing? Fit, work, & everything else? 😛
