A Corsair CX500M power supply should be enough for an upgrade. It fits your computer's dimensions and will support many new graphics cards.

Now for the GPU I would recommend a GTX 960 (or a Radeon R9 380). My personal preference would be going with Nvidia due to their low powered cards. EVGA does a single fan card which would be your safest route. I would recommend measuring the inside of your case and comparing that to some cards to see if they will fit.

Going any higher than these cards you may experience bottlenecks. Which brings me to your CPU upgrade. There really isn't any more you can do because of your socket type. There are 2 processors higher than yours and will most likely be pointless to upgrade. Quad-core is still good...
To be on the absolute safe side your best bet would be a GeForce GTX 750 Ti ---single fan card---
Most manufacturers stick with Nvidia's 300w power supply requirement and that's what the website listed your computer having.
