what would be the best graphics card for the ASUS M4A87TD EVO board? i have a 250w powersupply and the AMD
CPU Type : Athlon X4
CPU Speed : 3.00 with 12 gigs of ram, unfortunately i only have a nivda GEForce310 in it so any advice? screen has flickering tiny white dots

Solution
Nope. Since you added a different card, what you'll need to do is go to guru3d.com and download the driver deleter utility. Follow the directions for deleting nvidia rivers. It'll take you through safe mode, it's best. After that, do a clean install of the new nvidia drivers to reset them. Should clear up any issues.

you are going to need a new power supply for anything decent

i bought atx 450 w psu now just still wonder which card to get

rx 460 or max gtx 1050 ti

Gtx 1050, not the ti version. You'd be hard pressed to fill the performance of the 1050 on that X4, no need to spend extra on performance you won't use/see. The rx460 has almost identical performance to the older gtx750ti, so it's honestly not worth buying when the 750ti is cheaper.

not really a gamer but do games on fb

Gpus are not only about gaming. A faster, stronger gpu is also better equipped to handle video chores as well, so that's a lot to do with all the crap afs/commercials you see on websites and fb. A weak card with low vram can still post the video, just takes longer for it to load, meaning you are sitting waiting longer to scroll away etc.

My personal advice is get the best you can that fits in the budget, anything less will just be more obsolete faster. You might actually play a game eventually, you never can tell tomorrow.

this 1 seems ok and in my budget EVGA GeForce GT 710 2GB 64-Bit DDR3 Single Slot, Dual DVI Graphics Card
is it too much for my mb

I went and got a GEFORCE GT730 put in without bumping up my psu yet but card working just gr8 even got an updated driver from NVIDIA
