I have been researching for so long and am having a great deal of difficulty deciding on which non-reference gtx 680 to purchase for 2650x1440 gaming.
Can someone please help me?

Which ever card looks the best in your system

personally only ones I would consider are MSI/ASUS/Gigabyte/EVGA

MSI has some of the best aftermarket coolers (twin frozr)

ASUS has a very nice black/red sex card.

Gigabyte is meh lookin

EVGA vanilla and ftw cards are sexy and offer longer warranties than ASUS/MSI/GIG which only offer 3 year limited warranties.

I personally have 2x EVGA GTX 670 vanilla cards for my 2650x1440 gaming. Exhausts all the heat out the rear and for games like BF3 the cards sit at around 55C in game.

Where do you live, what is the rest of your system components?

In my opinion the gigabyte card is best for low-noise applications because with 3 large fans they can be run at very low rpms.
The EVGA card is best for people running the card at stock and who like warranties.
The MSI card is best for overclocking applications with its specialized voltage regulation technologies and aftermarket cooler.
And the Asus card is just above average at everything with a good base overclock.

Hmm ok,
I want preferably a dual slot card not a tri slot card so i can sli further down the track and something with good base clock speeds or something that overclocks really well would be great.

My pc specs atm will be:

Cpu - i5 3570k
Mobo - Asrock Extreme4 Z77
PSU - 750W Antec modulated
Memory - 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz
ssd - corsair 120gb
hdd - wd 2tb black
case - aerocool x white edition
monitor - achieva shimian 27inch 2560x1440p

Games mostly played will be MMO's like GuildWars2 and Wow
I'm trying my best to read reviews on non-reference gtx680's but its hard to compare...
how much better are they than gtx670? It will cost me 70-150 more for a gtx680 over a 670 depending on brand.

Also i live in Australia, Sydney.

If he wants a 680 it can also be oc'd to beat a 670 oc'd. In fact it will stomp all over the 670.

gtx 680: I would take a look at the galaxy cards that are factory overclocked 1111mhz core and 1176mhz boost. Dual fans and is avalible in 2gb or 4gb. they are both priced well.
gtx 670: the msi gtx 670 is the best bang for your buck 670. Has high overclock and a custom cooling design. it also fights dust.
