What happen when a OS fails and you have raid sofware setup?

I have a Poweredge 2600 with SuperMicro SAT2-MV8 SATA controller. But I'm wondering if my os screws up some how. I have the OS in raid 5 which are SCSI drive. But if OS fails what would happen to my two hard drive connected to my sata controller if I have more then 2 in raid 0 on that card and I need to do re installation of os?

IF they are in a Software Raid there are ways to recovery it. IF it is a Hardware Raid (Configured though the SATA Controller itself) Don't even worry about it. The Raid card handles all of that NOT the OS. It will still be there when you come back.

Also if you have anything valuable on that RAID 0 I would make sure you have a backup. One drive gone and your toast.
