what happened to my display it shows boxes while i play game

when i play games my screen sometime go green sometime red sometimes boxes come like minecraft and it just hangs then i have to restart it manually is this my gpu cause it's been 2year since i bought it (gtx750ti msi gaming oc) .

They are called "Artifacts", and normally happens when the GPU is over clocked too much.
Try and reduce the speed of your GPU and see if it helps.
If it doesn't, chances are your gpu is on its way out.

Overheating is causing this. Check temperatures. Check if GPU cooler isn't clogged with dust and gpu fan is spinning.
If temps/dust/fan seems fine, then overheating has caused damage to your graphics card. Time to get a new one.

As long as it is the GPU causing the problems, which I am sure it is.
But do as SkyNetRising said and blow out any of the dust, and please try and underclock it a bit to see if that cures the problem.

The 1050 is on average 26% faster, so if that is worth it to you do it.

yeah i have i5 7400 7th gen
8 gb ram
and my monitor is vga soo i will buy hdmi to vga active adaptor to run that gpu
