I built my computer 3 days ago, I opened up my side panel to reveal this:

They seem to have 'imploded'. How did this happen? Will there be any disastrous effects on the cooling?

Thanks!

It's normal...

one end is circle the other end is for entering the fluid to the heat pipe, I think they seal it using pressure tool or something (so it looks like that)...

u can see it in coolermaster website pic, it's same... (mine also same)...

edit : it's not pretty, but i think they do that to keep the price low 😀

I think I'll just ignore for now as I don't really want to go through the hassle of disassembling my PC.

What are those things called? So I can explain properly if I do decide to return it.

Wow! :ouch: That is very strange. They must of have been hollow or something and the heat caused them to warp I guess.
As said above, I can't see any severe heat related issues coming from that, but if that has happened you may get one or more of them do that further down closer to the CPU and they could snap. Oh, and those are the tips of the heat pipes.

Personally I would RMA it just to be safe. What are your temps at idle and under 100% load???

Thanks so much! I was just about to contact PCCG. You saved me a whole ton of embarrassment. :)
