Hey, guys. So a friend of mine is building a PC and he bought 1150 motherboard and ddr4 8GB ram. I told him that it won't work, but he already put everything together and want to try it. Will the computer just not run, or can it damage some parts and screw everything up?

Solution
DDR4 ram will not physically fit in a DDR3 slot and vice versa. Without ram, the pc will refuse to get past the POST process. Basically nothings gonna happen except a lot of beeping. Get the correct ram

okay i knew all of that beside that actual size, wasn't sure if it would physically fit or nah
