What happens if i replace a CPU?

Hi there,
I want to upgrade my PC by changing its CPU, from an A8 9600 to an A12 9800 (the max that my mmotherboard can handle) and i wanted to know if something happens when you do that.

Nothing happens, A12 is for AM4 socket and would not work in your MB.

They are both AM4. As far as I can tell from what you are asking, your PC will run smoother.
