Well you see, I broke my motherboard and cpu because I, when practicing for my profesional water spilling competition, I spilt water on my computer. That was sarcasm btw. Seriously though I spilt water on my desktop and it fried my cpu and motherboard (everything else is fine). So my plan was to buy the same equipment, but I felt like upgrading to a new cpu and motherboard since mine where like 3-ish years old. The motherboard I had was the MSI 970A-G46 AM3+/AM3 AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS which i was going to swap for the MSI 970A-G43 Plus AM3+/AM3 AMD 970 & SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX AMD Motherboard
and for the cpu I had the AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 8-Core 3.6GHz (3.9GHz/4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8150FRW8KGU Desktop Processor - OEM which I was going to swap for the AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 8-Core 3.6GHz (3.9GHz/4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8150FRW8KGU Desktop Processor - OEM.
So the question is what will happen if I just swap out the motherboard and cpu then what will I need to do (because I can't prep my computer), and what would you recommend for a different motherboard or cpu.
