What happens if you remove fan while building it?

Hello. I was building my pc today, and when I put the fan on the cpu, I had to remove it as I didn’t install it 100% correctly. Though it was only a minute and I was quite certain the paste was still wet. Do I need to reapply thermal paste or is that all right?

If its clean you can reuse it.
Make sure it will spread evenly, either push all paste in middle or spread evenly. Kust to remove any air bubbles
