Basically when creating partitions in Windows, I am also aware of directory mount points. (Mount to empty NTFS folder)

However I have a situation, where I already have 3 drives on my Windows 11 PC and a number of driver letters are used.
I will be additionally connecting another SATA SSD pulled from my laptop to it which already has a number of partitions.

Now after connecting that additional SATA SSD to PC and booting it, the total number of partitions may exceed 26.
In that case how Windows will handle partition management?

Thanks.

just assign a drive / partition to an empty folder anywhere under a existing drive letter or directory, Windows will create a link to the real partition when you access that new created folder. After that, you can remove the drive letter (if there is one) from that partiton or drive

UNC is your friend. Learn it. Use it. Drive letters are an archaic leftover from the days of DOS and tiny drives.
