Hello all,

I have recently brought ASUS TUF FX505DT (Laptop) which comes with 8GB of DDR4 3200Mhz RAM (though Ryzen 5 3550H supports only 2400Mhz).

Now I want to upgrade my RAM capacity, unfortunately I'm not able to find 3200Mhz of RAM in Indian market. So can I put 8GB 2666Mhz DDR4 RAM. Will it cause any issue ?

Could any one guide me on this ?

Thanks in advance.

Do you know what speed the 3200Mhz is running at now? The laptop supports 2666Mhz, but if the 3200Mhz kit isn't already running at 2666Mhz automatically, a second module will run at the same lower speed of the 3200Mhz module. A lot of 3200Mhz modules don't have XMP or an automatic SPD setting for higher than 2133Mhz so it might go from 2133 to 2933/3000 to 3200Mhz.
