Hi all
What happens when you empty the downloads folder (before installing
University) to all the downloaded homes that have families living in them??
And the custom content that you have in homes that you have built??
What about objects that are not University enabled? Will they disappear or
crash the game?

Should I back up the "user files" like we used to do for TS1???

I am worried about installing University as I have so many homes and
families I have worked on. The only "hacked " items I have are a painting
and a computer.

Thanks

Get Simpe and scan your downloads folder to see what objects are not okay
for university, then remove those objects. Backup everything, all
neighborhoods and such.

Nothing, really. If you delete a recolor, it simply goes to a maxis
made color. If you delete a hacked object, it seems to be replaced in
the house by the object it was cloned from.

They flash blue in the game. The only real danger is apparently custom
careers. They will keep lots from loading.

Probably, but you should do that anyway. Every month or so, back them
up on a cd.

You should get rid of the computer, because university adds some
options to them. But the painting still works fine.

Thanks for the info Bluegenie.
I went to the site to download SimPe but the other software I have to
install to make it work (Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1) is huge
(23698KB) and I am only on dial up.
Is there any way to avoid having to down load this NET. Framework?

Many thanks
