Okay, I'll start about 5 days ago. I had this crash on my PC (no blue screen, just a shut down) I read that this could be caused by a dying PSU. At this point I de-dusted my PC to verify it wasn't overheating issues. After dedusting (having the PC apart for about 2 hours then rebuilt) it ran like a charm until today where the exact same thing took place, I believed it was a PSU issue so ordered a new one (corsair rm750i) and I'd like some body's opinion what could've gone wrong to be sure it was the PSU. Specs are: Am3+ gigabyte mobo(forget which) amd fx8350, nvidia gtx 750ti, 1tb HDD, and a 240gb ssd with 5 fans cooling (old PSU was a 750w ace brand) thanks!

It could be. Let us know if the new PSU fixes your problem. A few years ago i woke up to my computer not wanting to turn on. It was one of my ram sticks preventing it from posting. You could try each of your ram sticks one at a time if the PSU doesn't fix your problem.
