The only game I play is Lockheed's Martin flight sim called Prepar3d. Other than that, I mainly use the radio to control Software Defined Radio's for amateur radio. The only graphics is a radio frequency display. I suspect either card has more than enough power.
2060 can be faster in vulkan and DX12 tittles due to better support of async compute on turing (there is also VRS for DX12). in DX11 based games if the games can take advantage of turing capabilities for using FP32/INT32 simultaneously it might be able to perform as good as 1080. take wolfenstein 2 (vulkan) for example. 2060 is extremely fast in that tittle the performance actually reaching 1080ti at 1080p.
