What heatsink should i get!?!?

Here are my specs:
GPU:GTX950
CPU:I5 2550k
RAM:8GB
MOBO:Asus a7m-e
Storage: 250GB

SO basically i bought a heatsink from somebody on amazon i get it, after 30 min of using my pc is shuts off. my cpu got to hot because The heatsink was brocken. I asked him for a new one and he sends a one that is waaay to large for my mobo. I am super pissed off now, so my last resort is toms hardware. WHAT Heatsink should i get that can FOR sure keep my CPU cool and fit my Mobo?

I don't see how a heat sink could be broken, is there something specific that's broken? Not mounting tight enough? Did you make sure you applied the right amount of thermal paste like arctic silver? Did you make sure you mounted properly and that it was in full contact with the cpu/thermal paste?

Yes I had thermal paste. One of the clips that goes into the board was brocken and it didnt fit properly.
