Hi, i have been using a pc with an AMD fx-8350 processor and i always have overheating and noise problems with it. Now i'm planning to upgrade my gpu (from gtx 970 to gtx 1070). The problem is that according to some forums, with the fx8350 i will have a bottleneck and the gpu will be wasted. So i decided to upgrade from amd to intel.
I work as a 3d animator and i want to build my pc for rendering and 3d software and adobe use. But i also want to make the most of this upgrade to be able to play the latest games with good details.
What i7 processor with a good core-frequency relationship would you recommend? I was thinking of 5820k or 6800k that is newer.
I don't want to overclock nor buy any AMD cpu. My budget (for the cpu only) is around $430.

Thanks for the replies!

pd: would the bottleneck with the fx-8350 be really big?

Solution
You basically have two choices: 6800K and 6700K. The 6700K is faster per clock, being one generation newer (6th gen Skylake vs 5th gen Broadwell) and has higher clockspeeds. The 6800K has two more cores. Overall, I think neither is a poor choice, but motherboards for the 6800K will be very significantly more expensive. You can get away with a $60 board for the 6700K, whereas you'll be set back closer to $200 for a 2011v3 motherboard for the 6800k.

Gaming 6700k. Not gaming 5820k. Bragging rights 6950X But have fun spending a lot on a motherboard.

imo 6700k is the best value for performance per dollar and it have an affordable motherboard.

You need the Core i7 6800K or better for the best experience with your work. The more cores the better in this case. The main issue here is you can't afford it. You would need the 6800K which is over $400 by itself, DDR4 RAM, and an X99 motherboard which isn't cheap.

thanks for the answers and sory for the misunderstood but that budget ($430) is for the cpu only

Well in that case the Core i7 6800K should suit your needs and budget the best.
