[SOLVED] What id the best Headset for Recording for YouTube

I am looking at getting a headset to record my videos that I am making to upload to YouTube. I am currently doing Unboxings, Reviews, Tutorials, and have a smaller gaming channel. I use the Mac, and would need it compatible with Mac/PC, and it doesn't need to work with Xbox 360, but that would be nice! I am looking at the Nessie and Yeti, but that is $100, and I am not sure if I want to invest that much into the channel just yet! Hopefully going for something under $100...

Headset wise, look into some of the Turtle Beach headsets, specifically the USB powered ones. I have some silly MW3 special edition ones, and they sound great when I record. The price that you want to spend dictates the quality. The nice thing about the Turtle Beaches too is that since they have universal software, they work mac/pc/xbox/psX!

I had tried the Turtle Beach Ear Force PX22's, but the mic became static in a month, and then echoed when I recorded. I am not sure about Turtle Beach now... Are there specific ones, or no...?

The biggest thing to look for is a headset that has a pop-sock (or wind sock) on the microphone. (They look like little pieces of foam on the microphone) These essentially eliminate your breath form the microphone. Check out some Logitech G-Series headsets, a bit cheaper and still high quality.

Look around, I found the snowball for as little as $50, but the best thing to do is find a program that will enhance your voice, it's always better to invest in your eqipment, I know that because I'm just starting to do youtube, and I can't wait to invest, plus you can unbox the mic and review it, there isn't one headset out there that I would say is good enough for voice overs, a headset and a mic is all you need!
