what if my mic isn't in the list of devices? the usb won't recognize it when plugged in

this is in a new alienware gaming desktop. it worked until a couple of days ago

The mic may have failed suddenly. Did you try connecting it to another USB port, and/or another device in the same port?

or windows update mess up the driver.
