What in the hell is wrong with my computer?

I need some help figuring out why my computer im building will not boot. Before you post the link to the sticky about what to do if your computer will not post PLEASE READ THIS before. I have looked through the sticky like five times and ive already gotten a different motherboard and different ram and i have the same problem. My computer wont show anything on the display and it doesnt beep when there is ram installed, whenever there isnt ram installed i get three beeps from the post speaker. POSSIBLE ISSUES: I believe the problem is either a bad CPU or a bad PSU because the ram problem has happened with multiple brands of ram and multiple motherboards. Please no replies that tell me to go to the post that gives people some troubleshooting (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems) As i said before ive already looked through it multiple times.

Is there anyway to update the bios, thats what tech support recommended on my first board and i installed the new chip only to find the board was dead.

if you are using new cpus like anniversary pentium or haswell refresh cpus on z87/h87 or older mobos, they need a bios update...

btw, what are you using?

Original motherboard was the ASrock z97m oc formula, new board is the MSI z97-g55 sli

oh... then everything should be right... I dont know why the heck is it crying for nothing... I cant realy give any opinion or a solution, because I am not experienced in this area... the only simple thing I can advise is to swap components to find the faulty one... I dont know if you have the access to other cpus, motherboard, psus... maybe you have a friend who can borrow you his pc/pc components...

worst case scenario, you can buy the cheapest celeron to check the cpu problem...

asuming your cpu isnt dead, I dont know how to troubleshoot it...

I appreciate the sentiment and thanks for the help, this is not what i was expecting for my first personal build, this is just the most bizarre thing ive ever encountered. A computer tech is coming to my house tomorrow to hopefully figure out what is wrong.

Looks like, in both motherboard cases, a BIOS upgrade was required for the Intel I5-4690K to be compatible. It's unknown if you would be able to update the BIOS using that chip. As vixl2ds states, a fully compatible CPU may be required to install the necessary BIOS update (which is likely what the incoming tech will do).
