What is 3DMark11 physics?

What is this? And does it affect on my gaming my cpu is i5 3350p and have 4,120 3DMark11 physics score what is this and is it enough for high gaming?

The "11 Physics" stands for the version and the test: it measure the performance of your CPU.
Hit 4.120 points in 3DMark11 is very high and it is good; for example, Battlefield 4 recommends a quad-core processor at 3GHz, and your CPU has this potential.


Edit:
3DMark do nothing but put in numbers how good your CPU is in comparison with other CPUs. It is highly used by manufactures to compare how good a new CPU will be. And the number is dimensionless. In other wothers, it is not like "clocks per watts" or "dollars per clocks", it is just a number.

No! 8000/1000 = 8, it means it's 8x better. But 'better' is not exactly defined, example: Intel Xeon is very good for data servers, but not for gaming, and it have a higher score than i7.
