I am looking for a good set of tablets for my 2 daughters for Christmas. I can't spend more than $100 per tablet on these.
There are some great deals on Newegg right now for %10 off (special coupon discounts) and here are a few that caught my interest but since I am kind of tablet ignorant I need some help.
1. iView TV Pad 780TPC 1GB Memory 8GB
2. MSI Primo 81 Android Tablet - 7.85”
3. TOSHIBA Excite Go AT7 Android Tablet 7"
4. Acer Iconia One 7 B1-730HD-11S6

Please note I am a computer geek and know loads about PC's but I am not sure on how well these tablets function and there are limited reviews on them.

Go with either Toshiba Excite Go or MSI primo 81.
Both are good.
But you might wanna root your tablet after you update them to android 4.4 kitkat and install this app -SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD

As kitkat update stops the write access to sd cards so apps cant write on sd cards(like you cant save captured pics on sd card).

and if you dont wanna root then you can go with Acer iconia one or Fire HD 6(this one looks awesome and is free from google crap and has kid friendly system).

They're 13 and 14 so kid friendly isn't important.
Why would they program kitkat to not allow writing to SD? That doesn't make any sense. That is a reason not to purchase the tablet then......

I'll look into the other 2 you mentioned, thanks for the info!

I ended up getting a Kindle Fire 7 for both my daughters. They loved them and it was a great purchase. I paid $59 each for them last Christmas and I think they are only $50 this year.
