Not really, many people have CF available as an option and sometimes its cheaper to CF two lower end card and will actually yield better performance than a more expensive card, its good to know all your possible options and its always nice to see how well or poorly CF scales in each main game tested.

I don't understand how one can post 417 times and not know what CF stands for.
You do know what SLi is I hope.
Most modern mobo's have multiple full-size PCI-E lanes, P55/P45/X38/X48/X58/790G/790GX/790FX and many more. For enthusiasts who can spend enough to get a GTX 280 or 5850 they almost certainly have a mobo that supports CF.

However the 5770/5750's will give you less return in the future, if you get a 5850 right now vs 2 5770's you might get more performance with the 5770's but when upgrading either you get a 3rd or 4th 5770 & face little scaling or you cannot get more 5770's at all because you are running 8x & 8x. If you got the 5850 though, you can plug another in & get great scaling.

I like youre attitude and quote hunter.. On my part, I cant believe that i didnt think of Crossfire, haha. The charts were confusing however as all of a sudden there was a CF compared to single card configs.... thus it led me to subconciously believe that CF was a 5770 variant or acronym....
