Question What is a good 4k player? My luck...hasn't been so good in the past.

I've owned this one a couple times, and another Sony (looked different slightly, but I do not know where I bought it so sorry for no link) . All which locked up during playback on several different films/formats. Even DVD's.

So while I do love my 2 standard Sony BD players, the 4k ones seem to be bad luck for me.

Anyone able to recommend another brand for this price range? Thanks!

Have you tried updating the firmware.
Mine needed a couple firmware updates and has been solid since.

Yes firmware is updated. They lock up a lot. For instance. I've tried several Blu Rays (standard ones) that are brand new - to older, all lock up in random spots whereas on my regular BD player, they do not. Freezing image/audio completely sucks lol.
