Many of the forums i've gone to have simply suggested mobos that have good overclocking abilities and other nonsense I don't know or understand. ALL i want from a b450 motherboard is for it to work with my cpu and my ram and thats it. Im not someone who tinkers with this kind of stuff, i just game. With that said, what are some cheap b450 motherboards, keeping in mind what I said above. Thankyou!

The "M" version is the Micro-ATX version with four expansion slots whereas the "non-M" version is the full ATX motherboard with seven (?) expansion slots and maybe a bit better chip cooling.

For a good motherboard that will just work and do what you need without any overclocking worries, here are some options broken down by cost. To be honest most B450 motherboards will do a good job as you are just looking for something that is plug and play and will just do a good job:

For value circa $59:

MSI B450-A PRO - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pBWfrH/msi-b450-a-pro-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-a-pro

If you do not mind Micro ATX then the MSI B450 Gaming Plus (ignore the gaming moniker..its not really) circa $70

Circa $80

Asus - PRIME B450-PLUS - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Fk7v6h/asus-prime-b450-plus-atx-am4-motherboard-prime-b450-plus

For mid range and a few extra's USB and better Audio with a Realtek 1220 Codec...just means a better quality sound implementation - circa $94

Gigabyte - B450 AORUS PRO - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/43BTwP/gigabyte-b450-aorus-pro-wifi-rev-10-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-aorus-pro-wifi-rev-10

High end - overclocking etc...though anything over about $100 falls into this category....circa $140

MSI - B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/t797YJ/msi-b450-gaming-pro-carbon-ac-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-gaming-pro-carbon-ac

MSI always seem to do a solid job and tend to also provide great value....

The first one is a full ATX size motherboard, so the normal size and the M is the micro ATX motherboard that is a smaller size...
