I was originally gonna go with the MSI Gaming M5 Z170A motherboard but I'm wondering if there are any cheaper and around same quality alternatives. I don't expect to overclock too much my CPU or anything else and I'm gonna start off with 1x8GB DDR4 2133 RAM HyperX Fury. Anything that'll fit well into my Corsair SPEC-03 case.

Steer clear of Gigabyte. I was a huge Gigabyte fan for the better part of a decade, but have finally had to put down the gauntlet after being stung by poor quality over and over again. In my opinion Gigabyte were the motherboard brand to beat, until the 2008 financial crisis, after this something in their quality control changed...and long story short they now SUCK!

Recently I have converted to ASRock, and so far the results have been positive.

Cream of the crop board, with a comparable cost to the MSI - https://www.mwave.com.au/product/asrock-fatal1ty-z170-gaming-k6-lga1151-atx-motherboard-ab65428?gclid=COOX3qW0sc8CFdclvQodSD0DYA

Basic model which still supports your processor and RAM - https://www.mwave.com.au/product/asrock-h110mhdv-lga1151-microatx-motherboard-ab69547?gclid=CLaR6Km0sc8CFQsQvQod3ekGtQ

I do agree with the electric guitar playing cat, above, in so far as MSI don't rank highly with regards to quality!
