What is a good CPU to pair with my Rx 460 4gb

I recently got a new gpu and turns out my old CPU is limiting the performance of my graphics card.
I'm looking for a cheap but fast gpu that I can use to run games like GTA v at over 60fps.
My motherboard is GA-F2a55m-hd 2
I have a evga 500w power supply

look on ebay for a 2nd hand intel i5 & mobo.

otherwise for a new CPU - do what everyone else is doing, waiting for the cheaper mobos so you can pair it with an i5-8400.

Time to totally replace your system. The older AMD CPUs are quite weak and not worth trying to upgrade. I would go with Intel Kabylake or AMD Ryzen. Yes it will require a new mobo, ram, and CPU, but you will not regret it when you see the amount of performance you'll get with the new system. Also, you'll want to make sure you have an SSD for your operating system, otherwise no matter how high end your hardware is, it will still be kind of slow with a traditional hard drive for an OS.

Going by the motherboard its an older socket so it may be worth just saving up and getting a new Ryzen processor and Mobo.

The new platforms use DDR4 so you'd ram too.

Not really, yeah you GPU will be a bottlneck but you can upgrade your GPU to a GTX1060 or something later on.

Not a problem. Infact when I build myself a system I prefer the CPU to be more powerful than needed.
