I am trying to decide, and I see so many things say that AMD is better than Nvidia c/p right now, but as I look at actual prices I am not so sure. I think my budget is $350 max, but I have a 750w power supply so I can SLI a 760 or similar watt card in the future. Here are the current prices in Canada (where I live):
7970 (non GHz) - 310
7950 - 345
280x - 325
7870 XT - 245
290 - 450
770 2GB - 330
770 4GB - 400
760 2GB - 260
760 4GB - 290

What is my best option?

Solution
The 280x is a lot faster than a 760 and when you push a 760 at 1080p, it's not the vram that will hold it back, but the gpu itself. Pretty much the 760 4gb is meant to be sli'd for high res gaming.

I'd go for the MSI GTX 770 2GB

Would it be better to get a 760 4 GB and SLI it in a year or two? Since we are talking longevity and I will be making more money xD

I might just wait for boxing day sales
