I have a simple setup with one widescreen monitor along with a wireless keyboard and mouse and have a desktop PC along with a Surface Dock 2 connected to a iogear KVM switch. When I switch over to the desktop, it has always works fine but the Surface has always had some sort of trouble, particularly with the monitor. Sometimes when switching over to it after it has gone into screen off mode, it won't come on. Sometimes even when it hasn't, it won't come on.
I can usually remedy that by quickly unhooking and reattaching the Surace to the dock, but now it just stopped working altogether. The dock works fine when connected to the monitor directly, so that is not the problem. Can someone recommend a different KVM that I can try to see if it makes a difference? I would prefer one that has a remote button to switch the inputs back and forth so I don't have to have the big KVM box setting on my desk to switch it.
